Egg has been around for a long time on north 5th in williamsburg brooklyns, but for some reason I have never managed to eat there. Most likely because there is always a huge line on the weekends. Today I got to enjoy a lovely lunch with lovely ladies!
We all enjoyed the pound cake with a custard sauce before our meal.
We were all reminded how good and simple pound cake really is.
I enjoyed a caramelized grapefruit with mint.
I love and need to own a good grapefruit spoon. It prevents the old grapefruit to the eye, or in my case minimizes it.
D had the usual and snacked on some fried chicken.
It was accompanied with a side of garlicky kale and some gigante beans. They were so good! The were lightly dressed almost like an italian potato salad.
While L Chao noshed on the eggs rothko.
Which is essentially toads in a hole. Its one of my favorite things to make for brunch for the lucky few.
I will definitely brave the crowds and go back to Egg for many more yummy breakfast items. They even have a biscuits n gravy that you can get vegetarian style with a mushrooms gravy or if so inclined with a sausage gravy. D and L might of had that as an appetizer but I wont fully disclose that information. Many yums.
